About
In 2009, Alexandra Binding was watching Comic Relief when French and Saunders’ spoof of Mamma Mia! instilled a dream she didn’t believe was achievable — largely because she’s from Weston-super-Mare, so her idea of success was being the most skilled welly wanger in the West Country.
Despite this, she now lives in London and works as a creative in advertising (welly wanging, it turns out, has a ceiling). Her work includes HSBC – The F Word (directed by Big Red Button and starring Richard Ayoade), KitKat – Passwords (shot in three languages), and Fanta – Spookbooth (which took over Piccadilly Circus).
But the image of Jennifer Saunders as Meryl Streep proved difficult to ignore. So she did something about it, completing the Writing and Producing Comedy course at the National Film and Television School.
Alexandra Binding is currently seeking representation, and would also like to purchase a pink, bedazzled flip phone whose sole purpose is to receive calls from her future agent.
Would you like to be the one to make that happen?
